a bit about me
I'm a "recovering economist" and self-professed limu/seaweed nerd taking some time to reflect on my past 15 years as an executive director at environmental and indigenous land rights non-profit orgs.
In 2022, I was tapped for an Impact Residency with social impact finance intermediary Hawaiʻi Investment Ready (HIR) and today serve as HIR’s first “Artist-in-Residence,” working to further the art of community-building at HIR. My primary role at HIR is to provide mentorship and co-create community-building practices with the HIR team. I am also a frequent collaborator with community-based research firm, Groundswell.
I'm a proud māmā, partner, friend, neighbor, coach, champion, ally, shimanchu and descendant.
